About Our Media Center
The Eastbrook Middle School Media Center aims to be the heart of our learning community, fostering a culture of literacy, inquiry, and reasoning that supports reading as a foundational skill for academic success, personal growth, and lifelong achievement. Our media center features a collection of over 8,000 items that reflect our unique community’s interests, goals, and learning needs, offering students access to a wide range of genres, topics, and perspectives.
Designed to meet the diverse needs of middle school learners, the media center is a dynamic and flexible space that supports students as they navigate the unique academic, social, and emotional challenges of this developmental stage. Students may gather for class lessons and collaborative learning, enjoy quiet games and creative exploration, or curl up with a book for independent reading. Just as importantly, the space provides a calm, welcoming environment where students can pause, recharge, and escape the everyday chaos of middle school—making the media center a place where curiosity is sparked, confidence grows, and a love of learning is nurtured.
